Annual Asian Festival of Charlotte
Teaching the Community about Orthokeratology
Our team at Studio 20/20 had a blast at the Annual Asian Festival of Charlotte. Our goal was to teach the community about the health benefits of orthokeratology. Orthokeratology is a specialty contact lens that is worn at night to slow the worsening of vision, specifically near-sightedness. Near-sightedness, also called myopia, is where objects are clear when close-up, but blurry far away.
Orthokeratology is widely popular in Asian countries and large metropolitan areas of the United States, due to the high prevalence of myopia/near-sightedness.

Genuine Care. Passionate People. Dedicated to Excellence.
Our mission at Studio 20/20 is “providing genuine care with a passion for excellence” and with that goal, we have a duty to spread awareness on optimizing eye health and preventing future vision loss in children from progressive worsening of vision. That is what orthokeratology is all about!
We had a booth complete with bubbles, a cornhole toss game, raffles, and educational material on eye health and orthokeratology contact lenses.
We, of course, had to first treat ourselves to some delicious, local Indian cuisines, and some handmade sugar cane juice. If you have not been to the Asian Festival before, make sure to check out some of the amazing food vendors next year.
We loved rendezvousing with our patients at the festival. Once you walk through our clinic doors, you are part our wonderful Studio 20/20 family.
