From an early age, Dr. Kate Daluyin was active in her local community serving at MARA athletic association, dancing at Rhythm Dance Studio, and volunteering at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center.

Dr. Daluyin is a true Charlotte native who was raised in the nearby town of Matthews. After graduating from Providence High School, Dr. Daluyin attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she obtained her degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology. While holding several leadership positions in academic and Greek organizations, Dr. Daluyin graduated cum laude with multiple awards and scholarships. Through her degree requirements at UNCC, she completed an internship at Vision Source Studio 20/20 which sparked her passion for optometry and a deep love for the practice.

Dr. Daluyin moved to Alabama to obtain her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham after serving as a technician at Studio 20/20 for several years. Throughout her time in optometry school, she served in many prominent leadership positions including class president. Dr. Daluyin also served as president of the Student Ambassadors organization, which selects members based on a series of exceptional academic and leadership criteria. Additionally, she served on the executive board of Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society, an organization where membership is granted to just 10% of students elected by their colleagues. Upon graduation, Dr. Daluyin was honored to receive several awards of distinction, including the Provost’s Outstanding Doctor of Optometry Student award and the Dean’s Alabama Optometric Association Student Leadership Award.

Dr. Daluyin completed a cornea and contact lens residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, only one of thirty programs available nationwide. During her residency, she gained advanced skills specializing in fitting custom contact lenses for a variety of ocular conditions including keratoconus, corneal transplant grafts, high and irregular prescriptions, and dry eye disease. Additionally, she gained specific experience in myopia management and various techniques to slow the growth of near-sightedness in children. Dr. Daluyin has a great passion for helping people achieve clear and functional vision with contact lenses for all ages.

Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Daluyin returned to Vision Source Studio 20/20 to share her skills and passion for eyecare with the Charlotte community.
